Each trumpet shaped flower is a bright shade of coral pink that are produced in loose clusters. The throat of the flower is filled with short, curved stamens, and the blooms contrast magically with the dark green, glossy, deciduous foliage. The vine is self-clinging, so needs only minimal tying in to get it started – despite its delicate appearance, 'Madame Galen' is a sturdy climber and will run up any support be it trellis, arbour, a wall or even an old tree.
